Education Jobs at Padilla Bay Reserve

There are two temporary positions that we expect to fill each year. One is an AmeriCorps position and the other is a seasonal full-time assistant. The AmeriCorps position is now open. Seasonal Assistant
This position was filled in March 2008 for four months. This may be available again in 2009. The workweek will be fulltime, Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:00. This temporary position is open to applicants 18 years and older.

Wage and benefits:

Pay is between $10 and $12 per hour. There are no benefits available.

Descriptions:

The primary duty of this position will be to assist in the presentation of Padilla Bay Reserve's estuary education program to school and community groups. These presentations are pre-existing and will not require development of new programs.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Note:   Consideration will be given to applicants with abilities, experience and training in: environmental education, marine biology, computers and the Internet, field and laboratory science skills, use of power equipment and Spanish language. College graduates are eligible and encouraged to apply.
